International School Bangkok

International School Bangkok becomes the first Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) Energy Efficiency School Project and aims to cut its carbon footprint by 700 tons of CO2 a year

International School Bangkok (ISB), widely recognized as one of the premiere international schools in the world, has just completed a project to transform the energy efficiency of its campus in partnership with Johnson Controls. The project, which is the first Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) Energy Efficiency Building Retrofit project to be carried out in a school, will eliminate more than 700 tons of CO2 a year (25% of its greenhouse gases) – the equivalent of taking 128 passenger vehicles  off the road or planting 17,950 tree seedlings in an urban setting.

The project represents a four way partnership between ISB, the Clinton Climate Initiative, Johnson Control and the Thai Ministry of Energy.
