FREE AND OPEN SOURCE CONFERENCE IN BANGKOK

KIS International School recently hosted the FLossEd (Free/Libre Open Source Solutions for Education) Conference, a two-day conference organized by Flossed.org to share and learn about using Free and Open Source Software in education.

The event featured VIP guest speaker, the world-famous software-rights activist and author of the GPL, or Free Software License, Richard M. Stallman, who explained the importance of "Freedom" Software (http://fsf.org). The conference explained why Free and Open Source Software is not only free to use; it is better than other software for education.
