Heineken kicks off 2010 with prestigious Royal Trophy in Thailand
Heineken, a founding and official premier sponsor of The Royal Trophy, gave golf fans a thrilling start to 2010 by staging the fourth edition of the prestigious tournament in Thailand. This year’s ceremonial opening shots were performed at Bhumibol Bridge, one of Thailand’s most majestic and grandest-looking infrastructures named after His Majesty the King of Thailand. Captains of the Asian and European teams tee-ed off from the bridge (temporarily closed off to traffic) which spans the Chao Phraya River, watched and cheered by the Bangkok governor and golf fans.
Also, during the tournament days, Heineken’s centerpiece was the star attraction at the internationally-acclaimed Amata Spring Country Club’s golf course, offering fans and devotees sophisticated games and activities including the auction of autographed caddie bibs. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Tapasa Foundation established for underprivileged students.
