The Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to the NTCC Business 4.0, Innovation Award Dinner 2017 which will be held on Friday 1 December 2017 from 18.00 hrs onwards at Crystal Hall, The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok.

The NTCC Business Awards Ceremony is unique to our Chamber, allowing us to recognize and celebrate truly noteworthy performances within the Dutch-Thai business community. The event is presented in the form of a gala dinner and the theme of this year’s event is “Business Innovation”, linking the event to Thailand 4.0 with a strong emphasis on networking. During the evening, there will be 'People Connectors' on standby to connect you to any guests you wish to meet.


Innovation Awards categories

The categories and contestants for this year's Innovation Awards are the following. Please click on the company name to see their video pitches.

1. Agriculture & Food - Bangkok Ranch vs Unilever 
The jury was very impressed to see the rapid expansion of Bangkok Ranch; The duck meat producing & exporting market leader in both Thailand and Western Europe constantly looking for innovative ways to serve their quality produce. 

Whilst Unilever gave us an exciting tour behind the scene in their regional R&D center in Minburi, showcasing their innovative & calories balanced Paddle Pop Octopus ice cream, which was created by their local team and is slowly winning the hearts of many children across the ASEAN region.

2. Energy- Shell vs Synova Power

In this sector we see how the Anglo-Dutch conglomerate Shell, currently celebrating it’s 125 years of existence in Thailand is driving an impressive expansion plan in fuel stations and innovative “greener” product offerings throughout the country. 

Synova Power, a mature start-up company, co-owns an impressive technique which in the near future could turn our waste into highly efficient and clean gas to be used as substitute for natural gas.

3. Health & Life Sciences - BioClin Asia vs Philips

BioClin Asia, a Dutch pharmaceutical company, introducing its unique 2QR-Complex product line within ASEAN, mainly aimed at female health prevention is in friendly competition with Philips, a company successfully transformed from a predominantly light-bulb manufacturer into a Consumer Lighting & Health-Tech supplier of meaningful innovative healthcare solutions.


4. High Tech Systems & Materials - Corbion Purac vs NXP

Corbion Purac, world leader in the production of the bio-material Lactic Acid which is being used as environmentally friendly innovative base product for bio-degradable solutions in the food and health sector. 

Another world market leader, in the automotive sector, NXP contributes with their wide range of semiconductors to the future of transportation, like self-driving and communicating “smart” cars. 


5. Tourism & Hospitality - Koedooder Trolleys vs YAANA Ventures

Being one of the most important sectors contributing to the Thai GDP, we were impressed by two passionate entrepreneurs. Koedooder Trolleys, is designer and manufacturer of innovative and high-quality housekeeping trolleys, valued for its ergonomic and cost reduction efforts. YAANA Ventures, founded by Willem Niemeijer, specializes in South East Asian travel destinations with a key focus on sustainability & responsible tourism, both ecologically as well as socially, valuing the three P’s of People, Planet and Profit.


6. Transport & Logistics - EZYHAUL vs Thai Tank Terminal

Start-up EZYHAUL as rapidly growing technology company focuses on transforming the road freight industry by making use of an online, on-demand freight exchange platform that connects shippers with reliable carriers who have unutilized capacity on their trucks. 

As joint venture of PTT and Royal Vopak, Thai Tank Terminal is located within the strategically important Eastern Seaboard Map Ta Put area and is constantly investing in innovative systems to improves its ability to correctly analyze the asset status and characteristics, as well as safety hazards for its many and diverse product storage facilities.

For the first time in the history of all NTCC Award Dinners you get to vote LIVE! Simply like our page on Facebook and during the evening you will be able to cast your vote. The professional jury report consists of 2/3 of the outcome, while the attendees' live voting consist of the remaining 1/3. It means, as an attendee, you will be able to partially decide who will be the winner in each category!

Prepared by Chef Gael Lardiere, we offer 4 choices of the main course to our guests: Fish/Duck/Beef/Vegetarian.

Dress code 

Black Tie with the color theme - silver, black and marine blue. 

**Because a green screen is used for the picture opportunity, we recommend the ladies not to wear green dress.
