KIS students mobilised a multi-pronged approach to the flood crisis in Thailand. From the very young students in the Primary School to the oldest students in the Secondary School the student body took action. Children collected items useful for flood victims such as canned food, clothing, bottled water and medicine which will be taken to a flood relief centre for forwarding to communities in need. Other students organised a Mini-concert with popcorn and soft drink sales. Over Bt 30,000 was raised and will be distributed to two schools in Sukothai when the Grade 9 students visit next month.
Secondary School students arranged the ‘Play for Thailand Charity Football Match’ raising over 140,000 Baht. They also constructed life vests from t-shirts and recycled water bottles which were donated together with 60 “regular” life vests, to communities affected by the floods.
