In 2020, CeTeau was awarded the contract to perform ground improvement for the 3rd runway – Phase I of the Suvarnabhumi Airport Expansion Project. We installed Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVD) and used the Vacuum Consolidation Method (VCM) on a 798.000m2 area. In that same period, we were granted a major soil improvement project for Cambodia´s main airport.
These techniques help accelerate the soil consolidation process improving the bearing capacity prior to construction. This is vital for constructions such as airports, as it ensures the safety and quality of runways and its supporting facilities, responding to the growing demand of air traffic.
