Signify and BHIRAJ BURI GROUP Partner to Power Smarter, Greener Spaces

Strategic collaboration combines lighting innovation, digital technologies and Zero CapEx solutions to accelerate ESG and Net Zero ambitions across BBG’s portfolio.

Bangkok, Thailand – Signify Commercial (Thailand) Ltd., the world leader in lighting and lighting solutions under the Philips brand, and BHIRAJ BURI GROUP (BBG), one of Thailand’s leading district ecosystem developers, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to accelerate the development of Smart & Sustainable Spaces by integrating advanced lighting technologies, digital innovation, and energy-efficient management solutions. The partnership aims to enhance user experiences while creating long-term business value and supporting sustainability objectives.

Under the agreement, Signify will leverage more than 130 years of global lighting expertise, alongside its smart lighting innovations and the Interact connected lighting platform, to support the development of a Smart & Sustainable Spaces roadmap across BBG’s portfolio. The collaboration is designed to improve energy performance while enhancing occupant experiences across a wide range of environments, including office buildings, exhibition and convention centers, hotels, restaurants, and sports facilities.

The initiative will help strengthen asset competitiveness while supporting long-term ESG commitments and Net Zero ambitions.

As part of the partnership framework, Signify and Philips have been appointed as Preferred Lighting Brand for BHIRAJ BURI GROUP’s projects. Signify will provide expertise in lighting design, energy performance analysis, IoT-enabled lighting applications, and capability-building programs for BBG personnel to support the adoption of next-generation lighting solutions.

BITEC BURI Demonstrates Early Success

One of the first outcomes of the collaboration can already be seen at BITEC BURI, where Signify has provided consultation and support for upgrading lighting systems across key areas, including underground parking facilities, exhibition halls, meeting rooms, and public circulation spaces.

By deploying high-efficiency LED lighting and intelligent lighting management systems, the project is helping improve energy performance while enhancing safety, operational efficiency, and visitor experience throughout the venue.

Zero CapEx: Accelerating Sustainable Investment

A key pillar of the partnership is the introduction of Zero CapEx by Signify, an innovative financing model that enables organizations to transition to energy-efficient LED lighting and connected lighting systems without significant upfront capital investment.

The solution helps remove budgetary barriers to sustainability projects while allowing organizations to immediately benefit from energy savings and operational efficiencies. By simplifying access to advanced lighting technologies, the Zero CapEx model supports a faster and more scalable pathway toward ESG and Net Zero targets.
