Who we are

Our History

The Netherlands Thai Chamber of Commerce (NTCC) was established in 1991 by a group of Dutch businesses already operating in Thailand. At the time Dutch investments in Thailand were increasing rapidly, and it was felt that a more formal representation of the Dutch private sector was necessary.

Since its establishment, the NTCC is officially recognized by the Ministry of Commerce under the Chambers of Commerce Act (1966) and serves as the only official body representing the Dutch private sector in Thailand.

Over the years, Dutch investments in Thailand have steadily developed, making the Netherlands the longstanding leading EU investor and reaching as high as the 4th largest foreign investor in 2025. This strong economic presence has fueled the NTCC’s development into one of the largest and most active Dutch chambers in ASEAN.

Today, Thailand stands as both a strong production base and a dynamic consumer market, with a population exceeding 70 million and ranking among the region’s largest economies. Additionally, Thailand’s strategic location has long made it a natural hub for markets across Southeast Asia and beyond.

Our Organisation

The NTCC is a membership organization. It is fully self funded with no financial support from governments or any Dutch or Thai external sources. At the moment almost all Dutch companies operating in Thailand are members. We currently proudly represent more than 300 members, ranging from many startups and SMEs (roughly 70% of the network) to global market leader multinationals. Including most of the flagship Dutch companies operating in Thailand, such as: Philips, Shell, Unilever, FrieslandCampina, and KLM…

Today, our reach goes across 20+ industries, representing a private sector network of 2,000+ professionals!

Our Mission

Since its establishment, the NTCC has remained committed to its mission: being the connection between Thailand and the Netherlands, fostering collaboration by providing essential services and insights in: trade, commerce, industry, finance, and investment.

Commitment, Connection, Collaboration!

As the only official body representing the Dutch private sector in Thailand, we engage with the Thai government, opinion leaders, decision-makers, fellow chambers, and the media to create a meaningful impact.

The NTCC is more than a chamber; it is a cross-cultural platform for strategic learning, meaningful connections, and impactful partnerships. We link businesses and industries to drive growth and innovation. Devoted to empowering Dutch, Thai, and international enterprises; we foster synergies through a dynamic network, strategic events, and valuable business-matching opportunities. By facilitating trade and investment, we serve as a vital bridge for companies expanding to and from Thailand.

Our Recognition & Partnerships

As a central hub for trade, commerce, industry, finance, and investment, we maintain strong relationships with government agencies, business associations, and key institutions in; Thailand, the ASEAN region and in the Netherlands.

In Thailand, we are closely related with other official chambers of commerce from Thailand’s key trading partners, including the US, UK, and Australia… Moreover, the NTCC is a member of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCC). The JFCC is an umbrella organization for 34 foreign business chambers in Thailand representing over 9,000 companies. It promotes; trade, foreign investment, and skills development while collaborating with the Thai government to support the country’s economic growth. Additionally, the NTCC is also part of the founding partners and associates of the Europan Association for Business and Commerce (EABC). This European Trade Organization, based in Bangkok Thailand, also aims to enhance trade and investment opportunities for European companies and to promote greater European economic engagement in Thailand.

In the ASEAN region, the ASEAN Dutch Chamber Network (ADCN) is a collaboration of six Dutch Chambers of Commerce across Southeast Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The network aims to strengthen regional business by offering common exposure, streamlined memberships, and increasing opportunities for members to attend relevant events hosted by fellow Dutch Chambers.
