Signify Commercial (Thailand) Limited, the world leader in lighting, and BHIRAJ BURI GROUP (BBG), one of Thailand’s leading district ecosystem developers, have signed a strategic partnership to advance Smart & Sustainable Spaces through lighting innovation, connected technologies, and energy-efficient solutions.
Under the agreement, Signify will leverage its 130-year global expertise, smart lighting portfolio, and Interact connected lighting platform to support BBG’s sustainability roadmap across office buildings, exhibition and convention centers, hotels, restaurants, and sports facilities. Signify and Philips have also been appointed as BBG’s Preferred Lighting Brand, providing expertise in lighting design, energy optimization, and IoT-enabled lighting solutions.

Enabled by Zero CapEx by Signify, an innovative financing model that eliminates upfront investment requirements, the project demonstrates how organizations can accelerate sustainability upgrades, unlock energy savings, and advance ESG and Net Zero objectives with greater speed and flexibility.

Thailand’s energy strategy is entering a new phase. What was once framed primarily as a transition toward cleaner energy is increasingly becoming a broader question of national resilience, cost stability, and supply-chain security. The recent disruption to energy flows through the Strait of Hormuz has exposed the vulnerability of import-dependent economies across Asia, including Thailand, where a significant share of crude oil and LNG imports is linked to Middle Eastern supply routes.
